Google Pics, announced September 1, is built around narrower revisions. The Nano Banana-based product can isolate objects, take text comments for targeted edits and make multiple changes together.
Beyond a fresh prompt
Google also describes editing and translating text inside an image, generating multiple options, and shared editing. The sample artwork shows posters and other designed images where getting specific details right matters.
The useful workflow is to identify the smallest change you need. Instead of asking for a completely different image, describe the exact correction and compare it with the previous version.
Who can try it
Google says rollout will reach all Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and most Workspace business customers over the coming weeks. The product is available at pics.new.
Docs and Slides integration begins with the release; Drive integration comes later. The appeal is keeping image iteration close to the document or presentation where the result will actually be used.
