A practical control point
Google says Notebook users can now review and steer a slide-deck outline and video producer notes before the finished output is rendered. That shifts feedback earlier in the workflow: a user can correct the structure or emphasis before waiting for a full media generation. The review step is optional, so users can still choose the faster hands-off route.
Why it changes the workflow
Generated slides and videos often miss because the plan is wrong, not because the final renderer is incapable. An editable outline gives the user a chance to fix the story first. The same pattern is useful across AI products: expose the intermediate plan, let people adjust it, and only then spend time rendering the finished artifact.
Availability
Google says the controls are rolling out globally over the coming week. That is a rollout statement, not a guarantee that every account already has the feature. The announcement concerns Notebook’s generated slide and video workflow; it does not mean the system produces a polished final deck without user direction.
