A passport, a spare key, the thing you put somewhere safe: not everything has a tracker attached. Google’s upcoming Gemini and Find Hub feature takes a different approach. You tell it where something is, so it can help you remember later.
Google’s example is a passport stored in a bedroom drawer. You can tell Gemini to remember that location in Find Hub and add an optional photo.
A useful kind of memory
The appeal is practical. Instead of searching through drawers or trying to remember which note you used, you can retrieve a location you already recorded.
It depends on what you tell it. If you move the item afterward, this is not a tracker following its live position.
Availability
Google described the feature as coming soon in its September Android update. It is intended for Android 16 and later in supported countries. Check Google’s announcement for the current rollout details before looking for it on your phone.
